Hello everyone!
We enjoyed another snowy, chilly week last week. It was very pretty out there. We've had a lot of fun studying birds too, they are really getting active right now and there are endless opportunities to hear them and see them in the play yard and the woods. The kids have quickly been able to identify some of our regulars, by sight and by call. Some of the older kids have had some success using binoculars. And there has been lots of fun had by all in pretending to fly, to nest, to look for worms, and to make bird calls. We have gotten the instruments out and we have been playing some more music lately as we talk about birds and their songs. On Wednesday of this week (the13th) Amy's husband Boinoir will be coming in at 12:30 to do a little drumming demonstration for us. Sorry, I don't have a detailed bio for him, but Boinoir is an amazing drummer originally from Ghana and he plays with a number of groups and has toured the world drumming. It'll be fun and we encourage any and all Fiddleheads families that can attend to come for this quick little event.
